Progress Update

Mamow Ahyamowen has been making great strides, steadily advancing its data initiatives. Below are some of the key projects we’ve focused on over the past few months:
- We are actively advancing the chronic conditions and mental health and addictions analyses and addressing minor challenges and nuances with the data. We are looking forward to sharing the first draft of the report for review in 2025.
- Support staff took part in several knowledge-sharing events hosted by member organizations. These gatherings are invaluable for exchanging ideas, building relationships, learning about the inspiring work happening in communities, and gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges we aim to address.
- We had the opportunity to connect with researchers working in wastewater surveillance, exploring innovative approaches to monitoring community health. These conversations have opened the door to potential collaborations in the new year, aligning with our shared goals of advancing public health insights.
- We are in the process of planning a gathering in February to review and discuss the mental health and addiction data. This meeting will provide an opportunity for community members to co-interpret the findings, share their insights, and collaborate on the next steps in our analysis. We look forward to engaging with the community to ensure the data is understood in meaningful ways and leads to actionable outcomes.
