What Guides Us: Revisiting Our Vision, Mission and Values

March 2026

A strategic planning process is about more than setting priorities – it is also about reflecting on where we are and where we are going.

During the February planning gathering, Stronger Together: Planning for Our Future, Steering Committee members, Support Staff, and delegates came together to revisit and refine Mamow Ahyamowen’s Vision, Mission, and Values. Through meaningful conversations, participants reflected on the alliance’s journey over the past decade and identified the principles that will continue to guide our work into the future.

The refreshed Vision, Mission, and Values, reaffirm our commitment to collaboration, First Nations data sovereignty, meaningful partnerships, and supporting community-driven decision-making through trusted data and evidence.

While the final strategic planning report is still being completed, the energy and shared purpose that emerged from these discussions made one thing clear: Mamow Ahyamowen began with a strong vision, has built a solid foundation over the past decade, and is well positioned for the next chapter of its journey.
